Become an accredited centre
We believe that it is crucial to the sector that individuals and organisations have the skills and knowledge they need to deliver excellence for their customers. To make this happen, the CIH awarding organisation partners with accredited centres to deliver a range of qualifications at levels 2, 3 and 4.
How does it work?
If you want to deliver a CIH qualification, you must first become an accredited centre.
For each qualification, we set the specification and the learning outcomes of the units and externally moderate all courses. We also set one external assignment for each certificate or diploma course which is internally marked.
As an accredited centre, you will be responsible for developing the supporting teaching materials and the internal assignments, co-ordinating the student studies and teaching the course and the internal quality assurance, including internal verifciation. You will also market the programme and administer the CIH learner registration fees.
Centres that can provide evidence that they are capable of delivering the qualifications they wish to offer will be granted accreditation. They must have the facilities, resources, quality systems and qualified personnel to meet the CIH Awarding Organisation requirements. How are the courses delivered?
CIH qualifications can be offered on a part-time, full-time, blended learning or block release study basis.
How do we gain accreditation?
To apply for accredited centre status:
- Download the qualification specification of the qualification you intend to deliver. This will give you the information you need to design the course
- Download and complete parts A and B of the centre accreditation application form. When completing the application form, make sure you include information about how you intend to deliver the course; a course outline; sample assignments and CVs of the course team
- Provide supporting policies specified as indicated in the application form. Download guidance on what is required for each policy
The assessment of your application will normally include a visit to your organisation to ensure that you have the systems and procedures in place to meet the accredited centre approval requirements.
