Karen is director of housing services. She is an experienced housing professional with an extensive knowledge of housing policy, strategy and operation having worked in the affordable housing sector for nearly 20 years.
She has experience of managing projects, providing practical advice and support to a caseload of local authorities, running regional networking events to leading the public affairs strategy and campaign on behalf of social housing lenders to secure continued independent economic regulation.

Domini is the director of public health and vulnerable communities.
She previously worked at the Audit Commission as the National Lead for Vulnerable Communities and the lead Housing Inspector for the North East and Yorkshire and Humberside.
She has worked as a teacher, in the voluntary sector and in local government including senior management responsibility for urban regeneration, housing and community services.

Richard leads the team’s strategic planning services, regeneration and community development and asset management service areas.
He also leads our new Strategic Planning Unit which has been established to support councils and partners to develop clear local direction for housing provision in their area.
He is an experienced housing and regeneration professional, having spent 18 years providing research, business support and consultancy services to local authorities, housing associations and other private, public and voluntary organisations. He also has experience of undertaking direct management of social housing and of privately owned leasehold accommodation.

Steve is the director of financial development services, leading our work on financial consultancy and training, a role which also comprises senior financial policy advice for CIH.
Steve started his career at Leicester City Council, moving to Birmingham City Council with the full range of financial and accounting responsibility for revenue and capital in the HRA. Steve left Birmingham to join KPMG as an Assistant Director in their advisory practice.
This was followed by four successful years as a freelance consultant working through a range of consultancies including HQN, Butlers and KPMG. He became adirector at HQN, and then joined CIH to lead financial policy and consultancy work in 2009.
